Director Steve recently attended the offices of a local Housing Association embarking on a vital stage of housing stock upgrades, to explain the role and value of quality ground investigations. Having identified a training need to understand how and why preliminary site works fit within a development project, Steve was only too pleased to put a talk together introducing the concepts of Ground Investigation and deliver it to staff.
Topics covered included basic ground investigation techniques, contaminated land risk assessments, mining risk assessments, foundation design and laboratory soil & rock testing. Steve ta lored the talk to the particular geographical features and likely ground conditions of the area served by the Housing Association to support staff to be prepared for site works and plan ahead.
Customer service is always one of our priorities, so Steve was able to draw on experience to share ideas to keep residents involved in planning and to be prepared for any impact of site works.
